ARRIVAL

Arrival Timing: Try to arrive during the box office working hours. Remember, the box office isn't open 24/7, so be sure to check the timings in advance (see more at EARLY ARRIVAL). You will receive all infos per mail.
Check In Times from 7am – 1am, starting Wednesday (first day of the festival)

ATM

There is an ATM at Lanterna Reception, a second one at Tamaris Reception.

AWARENESS

During the festival we have a special Awareness Hotline where you can speak with qualified and objective personnel. You can also file an anonymous complaint if you want.
We take every complaint very seriously.
EMAIL ADRESS & AWARENESS HOTLINE will be available soon

BOAT PARTIES

There will be different boats which will be hosted by various DJ’s or Crews.

Approximately 4 weeks before the festival you will get a mail with the exact info about the different boats and dates. As soon as you get the mail you can choose your boat online for yourself. Please be aware that if you are choosing the party boat for yourself and not for the whole room. Every roommate must pick their own party boat date.

Please be aware that if we must cancel a party boat because of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather for example, the price of the trip cannot be refunded.

CAMPING

In 2023, we added a new ticket option called "Festival Pass with Outside Accommodation." This allows you to purchase a ticket without needing to arrange for on-site lodging. Whether you're staying on a boat, at your granny's house in Porec, or you don't want to miss the full festival experience and sleep in a tent, this is the choice for you!

Petrol power generators are not allowed in the camping area.
For further information please visit the webpage of the neighboring camping ground.

CARS

The infrastructure of our premises has originally been planned for tourists to arrive by car. We have more than enough space for parking.
If you willfully park like an idiot, we reserve the right to get you towed. (eg. parking in front of hydrants, emergency gates etc)

Out of security reasons we restrict driving between 20-8h. The whole peninsula is a giant one-way. Please respect that at any given time. We need the roads clear for ambulances, transport of artists and staff!

CHILDREN

Bringing your children (Age 0-12) along at LHF is a relaxed matter. Our hotel operator will charge a surplus on your accommodation, but we don’t do on your ticket.
Please inform our Booking Team after your reservation/purchase, so we can help you along.

CUP DEPOSIT

In 2019 we have implemented a cup-deposit system to cut down on plastic waste.

The first time you order a drink, you pay a fee for your cup on top. when you return it, you can either choose to get a fresh new cup, or just a chip/token. This chip can be exchanged for a fresh cup the next time you get a drink.

This way, we want to keep the number of cups in rotation at the lowest possible and at the same time prevent cup-stacking / theft. We acknowledge that in some cases this can be annoying (e.g. order a round of drinks for friends, paying for the extra chips), but for now it is our preferred method.
There will still be some situations where we can’t do without disposable cups (e.g. some back-stages that lack fresh-water supply and/or dish-washers). to lower the environmental impact, we decided on rePET-cups and partnered with ARA, whose support will be of help to come as close to 100% recycling as possible.

Please help us and Valamar by disposing these one-way cups in the designated bins in said areas.

DAYTIME ACTIVITIES

The peninsula offers more than enough possibilities to get rid of excessive energy, beside dancing. E.g. Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Swimming, Jet-Ski or Yoga.

EARLY ARRIVAL

Guests that arrive a day or even two days earlier need to check in at their respective accommodation and get their festival wristbands at the check-in tent. (see Map)
Please be aware that the peninsula can be quite different to what you expect it to be from LHF. There may still be normal guests and families. Food outlets are not operational (except the restaurants and supermarket).
There will also be last minute construction work undergoing for sure. It is recommended to avoid construction sites for your own safety.

FIRST AID

Our First Aid Station is in the leftmost part of the Tamaris 4* Hotel complex. Please check the map and save our local emergency hotline in your phone: 0043 676 844 011 834.
Our service provider operates 2 ambulances on-site, which you should ALWAYS call when in doubt.

Your safety is our utmost concern. The medical staff is fluent in English and German, for Croation speaking medical staff we have a translator and medical staff from Valamar (or in case needed, Croatian Emergency Services)

Please understand that our non-emergency staff may refuse if you ask them to drive you to the ambulance and respect their decision. They will, of course, assist you and navigate the first aid response.

FOOD AND DRINKS

At Lighthouse Festival, we have one big advantage that no other festival known to us allows  - we have no restrictions on food and drinks you bring to the festival site at all. You can drink your home-made margaritas while listening to your favorite DJs all day long if you want.
All accommodations (except hotel rooms) have an equipped kitchen w/ sink, stove, and fridge.
But we also have the remarkable luxury of having three permanent restaurants on-site, a supermarket and additional food-stands during the festival. Different options for different budgets. The restaurants are open for everyone, no matter which accommodation you are staying at.

Arrival by bus:

We offer bus transfers from Vienna and Graz. Please note that at least 40 people have to sign up for the bus trip in order for us to be able to offer it. The departure is always one day before the festival - so that you arrive on the morning of the festival start. Departure times and locations are subject to change before the festival, so please check the final info email you will receive around 1 week ahead of the festival.

Arrival by car:

Check-in at the festival site is possible from 7am to 1am daily, but please be aware that rooms may not be ready till 11am. (If you have booked an extra day before festival start, please check in at your hotel and pick up your festival wristband at the check-in tent outside the gate on the day the festival begins.)
As a green initiative, we suggest offering other festivalgoers a ride if you have empty seats. This not only helps save money and preserve the environment, it also presents a chance to make new friends! Our annual ride-share groups on FB are the best place to find riders/co-passengers.

PSA: In Croatia you must have a spare set of light bulbs in your car, in Austria two high-vis vests.

Arrival by plane

Pula, Croatia (50min)

Triest, Italy (1.5-2h)

Venice, Italy (3h)

from there take a rental car or see Taxi

HOUSE RULES

At Lighthouse Festival, we assume that no one's behavior restricts others in their freedom. We stand for tolerance, equality and peaceful coexistence. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, or aggression. If you notice such behavior, please tell our staff! Anyone who misbehaves will be kicked out and not allowed to come back.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES - WHEELCHAIR USERS

We recommend booking a 4* hotel room because of the guaranteed accessibility. The 4* hotel and the associated beach area is all-accessible (pebble stone / sand beach, no rocks).
Please inform our Booking Team after your reservation / purchase, we'll be happy to help!

LOST AND FOUND

Found items can be recovered at the hotel receptions of Lanterna, Tamaris or Solaris. After the festival has ended, we take lost items from the duration of LHF back to Vienna. Mail to reservation@lighthouse.plus

PETS

It is possible to take dogs with you to LHF. However, we strongly advise against this in the interest of animal welfare.
If you still decide to bring your dog, please let us know so that a special room can be reserved for you.
Additional costs for the hotel (room cleaning etc.) must be expected, but these would have to be paid on site.
Dog boarding has cost 10-20 € per day in recent years, so if you decide to take your dog with you, please let us know after you have booked. This is so that we can notify the hotel, reserve a special room and reconfirm the price.

PRESS

Applications for media accreditation please mail to press@lighthousefestival.plus

PROHIBITED OBJECTS

To keep everyone safe and happy at LHF, we have listed vital instructions on permissible items that you can carry onto the festival premises. Our aim is to establish a welcoming and secure environment for all. Please follow these rules. We humbly request you to refrain from bringing narcotics, objects that can be hurled, knives, guns, or anything that could be used as a weapon. These things are prohibited in the festival area. We have strict inspections and any found items will be taken away and can lead to eviction from the festival grounds.

RISK OF PARTICIPATION

Every attendee assumes their own risks when participating in the festival and is required to take measures to ensure their personal safety and the security of their belongings. The festival promoter bears no responsibility for any lost or damaged property or for any violations of Croatian law, theft, injuries or damages caused by third parties during the festival.

SECURITY

The instructions of the festival staff and security personnel must be followed.
Klemm is our local partner. Staff of the company MCS from Styria provides most of the security personnel and is fluent in German and English.

SEARCH POLICY (in this case, police)

The Croatian police are present at our festival site. They are allowed to stop and search anyone they deem suspicious and that's pretty much everyone. Keep that in mind!

SUSTAINABILITY

At Lighthouse, we have the advantage of cooperating with a local partner who provides the complete infrastructure needed to stage a sustainable festival. Our event not only avoids all the waste of a camping festival, but also a large part of the materials used to set up a temporary festival-site. The entire facility of Valamar runs on green electricity, and the waste is sorted at the in-house landfill.

As the organizers, we have set a focus on the following areas:

Area 1: Implementing our own initiatives in Valamars' food and beverage logistics (e.g., reusable cups).
Area 2: Minimization of transport emissions through on-site storage facilities, including recycling of decoration materials.
Area 3: Travel of guests, travel of employees (ride sharing, charter buses)
Area 4: Waste prevention on site (portable ashtrays, cup deposit, ban on useless giveaways).
Area 5: zero-emissions approach 2030: planting mangrove forests in cooperation with blue life (Link)

SHOPS

We have the luxury of having a supermarket on the premises, behind the Lanterna Reception and next to Nassraum / Zodiac Club. Certainly, this supermarket has slightly higher prices. Two conventional supermarkets are within 5 minutes by car in the direction of Tar, right at the roundabout. These are also open on Sundays, sell cigarettes, food, and alcohol.During the festival we operate a merchandise store next to the food court above Beachfloor. For opening hours have a look at our festival APP. There is a little fruit shop close to the reception operated by a lovely older couple, worth to visit to replenish on vitamins and nana-energy! During the festival we operate a merchandise store next to the food court above Beachfloor. For opening hours have a look at our festival APP.

SWIMMING

Many say the Croatian coastline is the most beautiful of the whole Mediterranean Sea. It might not have sandy beaches, but we don’t challenge that statement in general. Almost nowhere else you’ll find this crystal-clear and mesmerizing bright-blue-greenish perfect-tempered coolness. It is recommended to jump straight in from the quay or diving boards at the northern coast, as there are many many sea urchins. By the way, those stabby little bastards are responsible for 90% of our first-aid responses. So, either wear shoes, or do not challenge their territory.
If this sounds too intimidating, we also have three sizeable swimming pools in the 4* vicinity, available to all festival guests.

TOTEMS

In principle, we welcome the commitment and motivation of our festival guests. Unfortunately, we must reserve the right to prohibit totems if accidents can occur at certain stages. Every year there will be enough stages where totems can be taken.

TRASH

We are very lucky to have Valamar as a local partner who helps us with the disposal of garbage. Valamar operates its own landfill on the premises. They separate there and prepare the garbage for recycling. Of course, you could help if you separate your garbage already in the accommodations, use the mobile ashtrays and go the extra way to the nearest garbage can every now and then. Please keep in mind that we are right next to the sea and any carelessly disposed shred of plastic will inevitably end up in the sea.
Due to the existing infrastructure, we try to do without garbage deposit or the like. But we appeal here to your common sense and assistance. Thank you very much!

VOLUNTEERING

For volunteering during the festival write us: volunteering@lighthouse.plus

WATER

Throughout the peninsula, tap water is drinkable. It may not taste as good as at home, but it’s perfectly safe.

YOGA

We've been offering yoga at LHF for a few years now, with great success. To be honest, we were surprised at first. But many people want to ground themselves before they turn night into day.  And the peninsula has many places to do this, whether you want to do yoga alone or in a group. We work with experienced teachers who offer a range of styles suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners.
