MANUEL BIEDERMANN is a light artist and stage designer, originally from Munich/Germany, now based in Vienna/Austria. He studied spatial planning at Vienna University of Technology before getting intrigued by scenography. After gaining experience as a stage design assistant, he soon began creating his own sets for theatre productions. He has realized numerous light concepts for bands like HVOB, clubs like Pratersauna and events like Redbull Music Academy and Boilerroom. His work has been displayed at DDP in Seoul/Korea, MUTEK in Tokyo/Japan, Parallel Vienna Art Fair and many more. Since a few years he is Assistant Art Director & Technical Director of Scenic Design at the Lighthouse Festival in Croatia and part of the new media art collective “lichterloh”.www.MANUELBIEDERMANN.com
