PIXEL SPOT or (PXL SPT in short) is a video/light installation located in a small booth surrounded by nature. It consists of a 4032 x 576 mm P3 LED screen arranged on the interior walls, a low-resolution pixel screen made of LED strips with backlight/front lighting attached to the window, and surrounding atmospheric spot/wash DMX lighting fixtures. The main focus of the research is the physicality of pixels and the low-resolution dithering techniques used by the author in his previous series of works. The generative video will be synchronized with the daytime, emphasizing the evocative colors throughout the day with the mimicry of olive, pine and sea. As the night progresses, the patterns and colors will intensify. The entire booth is conceived as a pixel oasis for regeneration and a soothing experience.
